Any idea on how to uninstall/reinstall Media Player 12? Or fix 12? There are no fixes that I can find. Can not uninstall. Computer would not allow me to download Media 11 either.

is a feature of win 7 rather than an installed application so removal is different from the usual.
Go to Start > Run, and type optionalfeatures.exe.
A small window will appear with a list of windows features, in the list is Media features, expand this section and there is Windows Media Player with a tick in the box, simply remove the tick, it will also remove Windows Media Center. Click OK and it will remove them. You will have to reboot your system because it removes them like updates, outside of the windows environment.
When everything has calmed down you can reinstall them by reversing the procedure.
I tried this out on a working WMP and it worked OK but I can't swear that it will work so easily on a corrupt version.

Here is another option to try - http://www.mydigitallife.info/2010/01/12/how-to-uninstall-and-re-install-windows-media-player-12-wmp12-in-windows-7/. Just out of curiosity, why do you prefer Windows Media Player 11 over 12?

Cheers,
Cassandra
