Web design software for windows vista - iweb?

I'm looking for simple and inexpensive wsiwyg software that I can use to build a website for a non-profit. The website will be just a few static pages to start off with.

A knowledgeable friend recommended iweb. Is that just for Mac, or is there a version compatible with windows vista?

If iweb won't work, what's a good solid, simple wsiwyg alternative.

Thanks!

iWeb only runs on a Mac. But the resulting website can be shown on Vista.

I would recommend starting your website with something like Wordpress, which is an online content management system. It's very easy to use, there are tons of resources online on how to get started, you can update your site from anywhere with an Internet connection, and best of all, it already comes with some features you may want down the road. The benefit is that if you're ever looking to do more, you can do it. Using a software and starting with a static site is a dead end eventually, and it will cost time and money to switch what you already have over to a system like Wordpress. Why not start with something that gives you the ability to grow?

Try Drupal which is a viable alternative of Wordpress and it is easy to get the hang on it. Just try some tutorials if you wish to have a brilliant website.

Thanks. I have gone with wordpress and the site is already up and running. While I haven't figured out how to do everything yet -- particularly downloadable forms -- wordpress looks good.

My fridn the web designer may want to move from wordpress to Drupal, because he says Drupal is very good. I'm agnostic, if he does the work!
