presentation

I'm looking for the presentation software that puts all the photos in a random "pile" on the screen, brings an individual photo to the front, enlarged, for a short interval and then "throws it away" off the screen.

THE presentation software?

I saw a slideshow presentation at someone's wedding that used the method described above. It was absolutely beautiful and would like to use it for my show dogs but haven't been able to find a software package that gives this capability. By the way, something similar was used on this week's NCIS if you know that TV program. The slide show starts with all the pics small on the first slide, brings one enlarged to the front, and after an interval "throws" it off the screen. It continues one by one until they are all off the screen. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

I have seen flat screens, horizontal table-like, that are touch screen computer systems where images are 'tossed' onto the display area then the user uses touch gestures to enlarge, move, the images, but these are still experimental systems.

I could do something similar, (but much cruder), using Shockwave Flash, because I guess what you are seeing is just an animation of images over a timeline. That is what Flash is, timeline based animation.

Whether or not you can do this with dedicated presentation software like Microsoft Office's PowerPoint, or with image editing software like Adobe's Photoshop Elements, I can't say, but I would consider doing this in Flash.

http://www.photodex.com/products/transitions/v1 lists a pile of interesting transitions for a slide show.
