Need help with ESET Smart Security 4 crashing! Pictures inside!

Need help with ESET Smart Security 4 that is crashing!NOD32 alway's crashes when trying to update. And also bugging me for licence, despite I have 8 months left. See for yourself in the picture. When I press ok gui crashes and the nod32 restarts itself.

Im using ESET Smart Security 4 on W7 x64 having problems on laptop and desktop W7 x64....both have instaled latest c++ libary form MS 08,2010. I'm tired of reinstaling AV every 2 days.... HELP or purpose me a better AV for laptop that isn't resource HOG.

Is it possible that ESET Smart Security installation turns off the windows firewall by default. I know I have enabled it since it was turned off and window was RED colored.... but nowhere said that ESET is monitoring firewall. Is this the cause of my errors that update fails when windows firewall blocks NOD32 when attempting to update?



Can anyone of you readers having ESET Smart Security 4 instaled check system and security status of your pc.. how you have....thank you.

Thanks for replying to myself. I just removed this crap nodware after being user for 6 years. Neither windows update didnt fix c++ error. So obvius this is Eset comapany problem. Who cares... for "normal" user nod is fine but if you dig deep you get this kind of problems.

Now Im back to Norton that I have trusted more than 10 years in the past before nod. And now I feel like a happy pig in crap.

I never have any problems. I disable my firewalla and ESS installs fine and I get no notification about any security issues.



Perhaps you were using an outdated version of ESS?

No I was using/installed official ess_nt64_enu version. It's hard to say we "all" have mainly same software - W7 but we don't have same hardware...
